Beagle

Who can resist those beautiful brown eyes? It's enough to make you want to forgive them for taking off and barking from a mile away to let you know where the quarry is that they have treed. It is what they do, after all. The most famous beagle, Snoopy, isn't really beagle-like, except for the droopy ears and his small size. Real live beagles are much more energetic and usually can be recognized by their white, brown and black pinto coloring. Sometimes they have the brown coloring as seen in Raney and Emily. They rarely weigh over 40 lbs.

  • Howling bark: bowOOOOOO! bowOOOOOOO!

Puppies

Beagle pups have the droopy ears and big brown eyes that grown-up dogs are known for. What is unmistakable about beagles is their bark. Puppies master it early on.
