Chihuahua

Good things come in small packages, which is certainly true of Chihuahuas. The smallest of all breeds, they make excellent companions and will not make huge demands on their owners with exercise requirements. They will bark, as small dogs sometimes do, but generally get along with other pets if they are socialized properly. Otherwise, they have a reputation for being suspicious of any human who is not their owner and any dog who is not a Chihuahua. They have sturdy builds and erect, almost batlike ears. They are not outdoor dogs. Chihuahuas come in all colors and have two types of coat, short- or long-haired.
